Access documents and prepare for your next meeting using the Admincontrol app on your iPhone or iPad.
Login and keyword
Before using the iOS app, you need to register via Admincontrol’s web portal. An administrator will send you an email inviting you to get started. To log in, you have the choice between a full-access log in where username, password, and a keyword is required or unlocking with the keyword alone. If you choose to log in with just the keyword, you will be in offline mode and only have access to folders and documents you have previously synced or downloaded. You can change the keyword in the app settings by clicking the cogwheel at the top right.
User manual and help boxes
The first time you log in, orange help boxes containing useful information will guide you through the activities you perform. To bring these boxes up again, later on, you can simply reinitiate the guide via User manual on the start page or in the settings.
Read documents without internet access
The iOS app has an offline mode. Click the Download icon to download all folders, selected folders or documents. Once the files have been downloaded, you have access to the files or documents offline.
Logged out too quickly?
For security reasons, the app is designed to make you log in again each time the device is unlocked. Under the default settings on the device, the auto-lock will be enabled after 1 minute of inactivity. To change this, open the device settings (not the app’s settings), select General and then Auto-Lock. Note that the options you have here will vary depending on the security level your company has defined.
Switch between portals
Do you have access to several portals? Click the name of the portal at the top left to bring the other portals up.
Updating the app
For optimum security and functionality, we recommend that you always have the latest app version installed. Updating works the same way as for all other types of apps.
Navigation
All file navigation is done in the left-hand column (the icon at the top left corner on the start page). If you are in a folder, that folder is displayed along with the back button at the top. Search and the Synchronize icon are also located here. At the bottom of the navigation column are the following tabs:
- Documents: Classic folder structure consisting of a navigable folder tree
- Meetings: List of meetings invitations you have received
- Favorites: Starred documents and folders. Select a folder and swipe left to bring up the star icon, which you then press
- Messages: If you have enabled Secure Messaging, your messages appear here
Notes and comments
You can make notes and comments directly in the documents. The Note function (the page icon) is at the top left of the document. The Comment function is on the line below (the pencil icon). If you want to hide notes and comments, use the presentation function (the blackboard icon).
Are you experiencing iPad/iPhone notes not appearing in the web version? Don’t forget to synchronize the app after you’ve been working in offline mode by clicking the Synchronise icon.
