Executive Summaries
A new Executive Summary button (toolbar) and menu item (More Actions) is now available on the document page in both the Board Management Portal and the Virtual Data Room. Clicking either opens a fullscreen modal that displays an AI-generated summary in structured sections. It is accessible to all users with access to the document, and the generated summary is stored, so all users see the same summary.
- Structured format. Summaries are returned as titled sections with supporting content, rather than a single block of text, making key information easier to navigate.
- Language support. Summaries are generated in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, English, Finnish, German, French, and Dutch, based on the first 1,000 characters. Other languages default to English.
- Intelligent button state. The button is automatically disabled for unsupported file types and documents shorter than three pages, with a tooltip explaining why. If a document previously failed to summarize due to a non-retryable error (for example, encrypted content or a content policy violation), the button stays disabled and the reason is shown on hover. Transient errors can be retried.
- "Do not ask again" option. The introductory modal shown before the first summary generation includes a "Do not ask again" checkbox. When checked, the modal is skipped for the rest of the session. It is also skipped automatically if a summary already exists for the document.
- Reporting. Administrators can find a report of all create and view Executive Summary events in the report section.
Note: Executive Summaries require AI Search to be enabled.
